My name is Diana Skouris and my life is changing faster than I can make sense of it. Recently, a comet appeared in space and seemed to be headed straight for Seattle. I was part of the NTAC team assigned to assess the threat to Seattle and its inhabitants. When I made my way to Highland Beach I had no idea what I would happen to me when the comet hit the Earth.

Amazingly enough, when the smoke cleared there were 4400 people in various eras of dress staring back at the gathered crowd of media and security forces. 4400 people appeared out of a ball of light. Confused? I was too.

Now, even after months of working with the returnees, my partner, Tom and I are still no closer to understanding what happened to the 4400 while they were gone and why were they brought back.
